Korea Digital Nomad Visa Information
Korea is a country optimized for digital nomads.

South Korea Digital Nomad Visa Requirements
- Pre-tax income in the previous year is at least twice the GNI per capita in South Korea (exchange rate is as of the date of application)
- Foreign nationals affiliated with foreign companies
- Who can work remotely
- Been in the same industry for at least 1 year (not 1 year at the same company)
- Have an individual health insurance policy with a coverage amount of at least $100 million
- Family members can apply (spouse, minor children)
- Representatives of foreign companies who are business owners can also apply for a visa
- 18 years of age or older (excluding children in your household)
Where to apply and how long to stay
- Where to apply
- Consulate or embassy of the Republic of Korea in your country
- Immigration office with jurisdiction over your address in Korea – if you are in Korea on a B1, B2, or C3 visa
- Length of stay
- 1 year granted from date of entry, extendable for 1 additional year (up to 2 years)
- Cannot work domestically (can be changed to E7 visa upon employment)
Documents to prepare when applying for a digital nomad visa in Korea
- Application
- Passport
- 1 photo (passport size)
- Proof of employment
- Proof of income
- Medical insurance card
- Travel insurance covers hospital treatment and repatriation. Coverage of KRW 100 million or more
- Your dependents must also have health insurance
- Regardless of international / domestic subscription
- Criminal background certificate – Apostille or consular verification required
- The applicant
- Accompanying family members do not need an apostille
- Valid for 6 months from the date of issuance
- Proof of family relationship (if applying to accompany family members) – Apostille or consular confirmation required
